"Our customers have really embraced what we are doing.
You can find SallyeAnder Soaps in stores all over the country."

Naturally Sallie’s earliest memories were of soap and the scent of essential oils. Her parents, Gary and Karen Austin, established SallyeAnder in 1982. One of 4 children, Sallie was raised in a household that was not only home to a thriving young family but also to a bustling handmade soap workshop. There was a bravery to her parents’ business that has rubbed off on Sallie. All the while she was growing up, she was learning at first hand an intricate business from the ground up
Throughout college Sallie kept one foot in the company, flying home to help her mother at a trade show, or spending time on the phone to hear out her father’s new product ideas. So when her family reached out for help at a crossroads in the company’s journey, she didn’t hesitate but headed home and jumped in. The support of her husband, her parents and her faith gave her the strength to do big things and she purchased the company from her parents and began to draw the many threads of her life together.
She found the perfect property in the up-and-coming Hudson River Valley town of Beacon, NY, where she and her family set up a new factory. Now a mother of three little boys, Sallie leads a company with 10 employees, plus her parents. You can still find Gary creating innovative products and her mom still leading the sales front. And she couldn’t be happier. The company is growing. Home is a farmhouse on four acres with an organic rose garden that they use for their rose soap. They have chickens and a dog named Archie. Her parents live on the property in an artist’s loft and across the street is a goat farm that supplies the milk for their goat milk soaps. Best of all, Sallie Austin Gonzales is leading SallyeAnder to new levels of success, surrounded by the circle of family that will always be the most important thing to her.
