Originating from West Africa, this soap is traditionally derived from a blend of locally sourced ingredients such as plantains, cocoa pods, and leaves from palm and shea trees. The color created becoming it's namesake. At SallyeAnder, we were inspired by these time-honored practices to create our own version right here in New York's Hudson River Valley.
