These work by blocking sweat openings in the hair follicle with powerful astringents such as aluminum salts that prevent the body from sweating. Since sweat glands play a regenerative role in skin damage, it is not desirable to completely block them.

"This is working so great for my 10 year old son and myself! He would have to reapply a few times a day. Now, there is NO bodyoder from either of us after only applying once after showers! The rock doesn't even have an odor. We will never have deodorant marks on our black shirt again! We have noticed our armpits might sweat more, but that is healthy."

"I love this stone and it is the best I have used in my life. I have given it a 4 star because there isn't a proper hardcase that comes with it for storage. For something that can shatter so easily and I also have my 12 year old using it and soon to be converted husband, it will be so helpful to design something that can be used for travel and storage. Soft pouches will not work as suggested by the customer service team when I first raised this feedback. It is not practical."
