4 Tips for Making Your Soap Last Longer

4 Tips for Making Your Soap Last Longer

How can you make your SallyeAnder soap last longer? Great question. After all, you’ve gotten your hands on the best soap on earth and you want to enjoy it for as long as you can. We feel you! That’s why we’ve come up with a few tips to help you get the most out of your soap bar. These 4 tips will ensure that you get to savor your SallyeAnder soap for as long as possible. Have a tip that we didn’t mention? Share it in the comments.

Tip #1 - Keep Your Soap Out of Water

It might sound counterintuitive, but the best way to make your soap last is to keep it out of water when not in use. While our soaps are known to last up to 2 months, letting them sit in water will definitely shorten their lifespan. Letting them dry after use is a surefire way to make them last longer. We recommend our soap saver as an inexpensive option. Looking for something more stylish? Try a cool concrete soap dish. All those zigzags! (Spoiler Alert: new colors dropping next week!)

Tip #2 - Use a Washcloth

Did you know that using a washcloth will make your soaps last longer? It’s true! While you might think that using your hands is a better option, washcloths create more suds while using less soap. A loofah or natural sea sponge works just as well, too.

Tip #3 - Use Multiple Bars

While our Essential Soaps are great for everyday use, it’s a good idea to mix it up. For example, why not add a shampoo bar to your weekly routine? These gentle but powerful bars will keep your hair feeling smooth and silky, while ensuring that your daily bar lasts longer.

Tip #4 - Save Those Soap Scraps!

Our last tip is a great way to get the most out of your Sallyeander soap. Instead of discarding those soap scraps, why not add them to an ayate soap pouch? These handmade soap pouches not only give your skin a wonderful exfoliating massage, they also help you to get every bit of soapy goodness from your bar. You can even add multiple soap scraps and create a fragrant super soap. It’s like creating your very own Kaleid-o-soap bar.

These 4 tips will help you to stretch your SallyeAnder soap purchase, ensuring that you get every sudsy bit of handmade goodness out of them. Have another suggestion for making soaps last longer? • Discovered your soaps at Meadow Brook Farms. Purchased the Almond Goat Milk essential soap bar and love how hydrated and soft my hands are now. Thank you for making this wonderful, healing soap available to everyone. FYI: I am a 70+ year old with thin skin, sensitive to fragrance, and my hands are in water most of the day (I still hand wash my dishes). I am in awe of how gentle your soap is and how pain-free my hands are now that my skin is no longer dry and cracked. The only problem I’m having is I keep dropping the soap because I have small hands and the bar is so large. How can I properly cut the bar in half so it fits properly in my hand? Thank you for your help.

  • It was really helpful when you explained that you need to prevent your soap from sitting in water when you aren’t using it. As far as I know, soap can create a lot of residue that can stick to surfaces if you let it stick to a surface for too long. Keeping soap out of water can help you keep your bathroom clean. https://singingflowerstudio.com
